2021 Legal Notice Regarding Tax Payments

LEGAL NOTICE – REAL ESTATE, MOTOR VEHICLE, PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND MOTOR VEHICLE TAX BILLS ARE DUE JULY 1, 2021

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Middletown that the first half of Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle taxes on the 2020 Grand List, which covers the taxable year beginning October 1, 2020, become due and payable to the City of Middletown on July 1, 2021.  Payment of bills OVER $100.00 may be made in full or in two installments and bills of $100.00 or less MUST be paid in full.  If the first half is not paid on or before August 2, 2021 then it shall become delinquent and interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum (1 1/2% per month) will be figured from the installment due date of JULY 1, 2021.   The Statutory minimum interest charge is two dollars.

 NO BILLS WILL BE SENT FOR THE SECOND HALF PAYMENT.

Please mail your CHECK payment along with the correct payment stub to ensure proper credit in the pre-addressed envelope which was enclosed with your bill or to: City of Middletown Tax Office, 245 deKoven Dr, Middletown, CT   06457. If a receipt is requested please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope.

Charge card payments are accepted on-line only at www.middletownct.gov by clicking on Online Bill Pay. Please be aware there is a convenience fee if you utilize the on-line service.
