Bicycle Unit
The Middletown Police Bicycle Patrol consists of specially trained police officers who are primarily utilized to patrol the downtown business district, parks, and special events.

Marine Unit
The Marine Unit patrols the waterfront for boating violations (example: no wake zone), performs safety inspections (life jackets, fire extinguishers, flares, etc.), renders aid to disabled boats, and assists with boating accidents.

Motorcycle Unit
The Middletown Police Department's Motorcycle Patrol consists of specially trained officers who are primarily utilized for traffic enforcement, accident investigations, parking and pedestrian enforcement, safety inspections, and special events.

SWAT
The SWAT Team provides the City of Middletown with a highly trained, physically fit, and professional tactical crisis management team.

Traffic Unit
The Traffic Unit's responsibilities include investigating major accidents, accident reconstruction, conducting traffic studies, traffic enforcement, managing traffic signal maintenance and repairs, school bus reviews, assisting with zoning and site plans, and coordinating marches, parades, and special events.
