"27 Kisses From The Sun" - Art Show runs all of September with a Reception Sept 24th. Alex Ranniello is a studio painter based out of Bloomfield, Connecticut. His forte is portraiture & figure painting working across oils, acrylics, watercolor, inks, and beyond. His paintings embody the highest spirits of summertime, capturing the pinnacle of the human spirit through bright luminous colors and robust brushstrokes, encapsulated by graphic contours. While painting cheerful, tropical, and warm summer scenes, Ranniello recreates his own pool & beach photoshoots combined in conjunction with characters from social media & beyond. Titles of his work like Kissed In La Jolla, Spirits Down Crenshaw, or Peaches of Modesto derive from cities and landmarks spanning California and the West Coast and pay respect to the lineage and beauty of both the scenery & seascapes. Ranniello does both privately & publicly commissioned work in colored pencils, inks & watercolors, pastels, and charcoals.
