Oddfellows Winter Offerings! 


Ms.B's Cultural Heritage and Enrichment Corner. This offering is an amazing opportunity for students to get a better understanding of themselves and the world around them by looking back at some very influential, historical figures. Students will work with Professor Velma Banks to dive deep into the lives of people like Madam C.J. Walker and George Washington Carver to uncover how their accomplishments are still opening doors for many people today. Here is a short 1min video introducing Professor Velma Banks and the Enrichment Corner. 

This class is open to students ages 9-11. 
Class meets on Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm
Classes will run from January 20 to February 24th

Sustainable CT

Community Match Fund

Sustainable CT, a nonprofit that promotes action on wide-ranging sustainability and community initiatives is seeking to facilitate and support public projects in Middletown and the greater region through their funding program, the Community Match Fund. Sustainable CT provides dollar-for-dollar matching funds, up to $7,500 per project, as well as fundraising coaching and support to help project leaders raise the other half of their budgets. 


Anyone working on or planning a public, community focused project that aligns with Sustainable CT's work is eligible to participate. Applicants don't need 501(c)(3) status or a fiscal sponsor, projects are accepted and approved on a rolling basis, there's no grant application to submit, and no lengthy review period.
