As Black History Month closes, we would like to re-share this video of the Oct. 2021 third annual Middletown Middle Passage and Port Marker Ceremony.

The Middlesex County Historical Society has organized this ceremony each fall since 2019. In 2021, we worked with the City of Middletown and the Middletown Commission on the Arts to welcome the tall ship Amistad to Middletown in combination with the annual ceremony. Video filmed and produced by Tré Davis.
Keep a look out for the Tall Ship's return in fall of 2022!
