Middletown—Matt Chasen Announces ‘Make Music: Vernal Equinox – Hartford Meets Springfield, The Face of the Bass’ Concert Featuring the Matt Dwonszyk Quartet and the Jason Schwartz Quartet featuring vocalist Natalia Bernal at The Library Studio in Downtown Middletown and livestreamed Saturday, April 9 from 5-9 PM. The concert will be a ‘hybrid,’ free via livestream on the Hartford Jazz Society Facebook Page and with guests in the Studio. Only 30 seats will be sold for $25, or $15 for one band, IN ADVANCE ONLY by contacting t2@librarystudioct.com.
The Jason Schwartz Quartet will start at 5 PM and feature vocalist Natalia Bernal, Jason Ennis on guitar, Connor Meehan on drums, and Jason Schwartz on bass (Springfield).
The Matt Dwonszyk Quartet will start at 7 PM and will feature Jovan Alexandre on saxophones, Matt "Big Red" Knogel on saxophones Curtis Torian on drums and Matt Dwonszyk on bass.
Covid requirements have been relaxed, but we respect anyone who prefers to wear a mask. If the State recommendations change the requirements at the Library Studio may. Free municipal parking is across from the Russell Library on Broad St.
The Library Studio is a multi-purpose studio for music, photography, audio, video recording and live streaming. They have hosted events ranging from Power Yoga to video-taping interviews for documentaries, from parties to band rehearsals and concerts. The Library Studio is excited to build a creative space and community with the great, small City of Middletown.
The Central at 134 Broad is the rear of The Central at 363 Main St. The building was built in 1915 for the Central National Bank & Trust, and now is Webster Bank’s Downtown Middletown branch and home to approximately 30 office tenants.
