PRESS RELEASE - ARREST OF ROAN BROWN

Roan Brown, 38 years old, was arrested by warrant on 10/18/2022.  Through a lengthy investigation, involving multiple police departments, it was determined that an identity theft occurred resulting in various fraudulent transactions. Roan Brown allegedly presented himself as another person to obtain a loan, credit card, and vehicle. Brown was charged with violation of Connecticut General Statutes (C.G.S) 53a-123 Larceny 2nd Degree; C.G.S 53a-128b False Statement to Procure Issuance of Credit Card; 53a-128c(f) Credit Card Theft; C.G.S 53a-128d Illegal Use of Credit Card, C.G.S 53a-128g Receiving Goods or Services Obtained by Illegal Use of a Credit Card, C.G.S 53a-129b Identity Theft 1st Degree; C.G.S 53a-130 Criminal Impersonation; and C.G.S 53a-139 Forgery 2nd Degree. Brown was released on a $75,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on 11/01/2022.
