2021/2022 Crime Statistics
The Middletown Police Department is reporting the following statistics for the calendar year 2022:
Homicides - 0
Assaults - 95
Robberies - 12
Gunshots - 38
Burglaries - 58
Domestic Violence - 710
Stolen MV’s - 111
Fatal MVA’s - 2
For the prior calendar year 2021 the statistics are as follows:
Homicides - 3
Assaults - 118
Robberies - 15
Gunshots - 52
Burglaries - 44
Domestic Violence - 634
Stolen MV’s - 95
Fatal MVA’s - 2
This data shows a decrease of most violent crime (Homicides, Assaults, Robberies, and Gunshot incidents) with an increase in Burglaries, Domestics, and Stolen Motor Vehicle incidents. There was no change in the number of fatal accidents in our community. Based on this information there has been a downward trend in violent crime from 2021 to 2022, within the City of Middletown.
