Chief’s Statement on Violence

The City of Middletown has seen an uptick in criminal activity in the past month. With help from our community, we have been able to solve the majority of these cases. The City of Middletown prides itself on its ability to work together for common goals. The Police Department‘s goal is to ensure justice is served and we hold subjects accountable for their actions. This will be done using the combined efforts of city officials, court staff, our Patrol Officers, Major Crime Detectives, and agency Command Staff. We will provide updates on individual criminal cases as details become available.

As we approach the summer months we will be supplementing our regular patrols with bicycle officers, motorcycles, and walking beats. This includes all corners of our city. Furthermore, we will continue to build our community’s trust to help change the culture and stop the violence. Providing quality programs in the neighborhoods will truly make a difference.

As always “if you see something, say something!!!” A community is stronger when its citizens are willing to help us identify potential issues before they become problems!!! Thank you!!
