Middletown, CT- The Connecticut Sports Management Group is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 34th Annual ShopRite® Nutmeg State Games!  The Games will be held from July 8th through July 30th of 2023 and are hosted by the City of Middletown. Information on all twenty sport offerings can be found at https://nutmegstategames.org/schedule/.

The goal of the ShopRite® Nutmeg State Games is to promote and reinforce the Olympic spirit of the Connecticut community through competition.  7,000 athletes will come together in Middletown and throughout Hartford and Middlesex counties to be a part of the Games this summer.

For the ShopRite® Nutmeg State Games, the state of Connecticut is divided into four regions: North, South, East, and West.  An athlete’s residency determines what region he or she will be grouped into.  The various competitions will be hosted by the City of Middletown and throughout Central Connecticut in over twenty of the state’s top athletics facilities.

Team sports offered in the 2023 ShopRite® Nutmeg State Games include Baseball, Basketball, Fast-Pitch Softball, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Roller Hockey and Soccer.  All team sport tournaments will be a round robin/ pool play format, with a minimum guarantee of three or four games. Top teams will advance to medal round games.

This year, we are offering a diverse group of individual sport offerings that include: Archery, Cycling Criterium, Fencing, Figure Skating, Judo, Pickleball, Track & Field, and Wrestling. Individual sport competitions are held over a one- or two-day period.
