Press Release - Shooting Incident on Bow Lane

On December 10, 2023 at approximately 1:14 pm, Middletown Police Officers were called to a residence on Bow Lane for the report of a domestic disturbance. Prior to police arrival, Dispatch received information that an adult male was shot in the residence.

On arrival, officers located an adult male who had been shot in the chest and abdomen during the disturbance. The injured male was transported to Middlesex Hospital for treatment of his gunshot wounds but tragically succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Middletown Police Major Investigations Detectives responded to the scene and are working with the State's Attorney's Office on the investigation. The case is under investigation and the names of the involved parties are not being released at this time. This is an isolated incident and there is no specific danger to the public.
