News Release - Arrest for Russet Ln Stabbing


On December 17, 2023 at approximately 2:12am, Middletown Police Officers responded to Russet Lane for an assault that occurred when the victim approached a person stealing the tires and wheels off of his parked vehicle.  The victim saw the suspect stealing from his vehicle and went outside to confront the individual. The confrontation resulted in a physical fight. During the fight, the victim was stabbed several times in the torso area. The victim was transported to the hospital and has since recovered from his injuries.

Detectives from the Major Investigations Unit continued the investigation which led to the arrest of Aneudi Sifuentes (age 18) of East Hartford.  Sifuentes was taken into custody by warrant on 4/3/24 and charged with the following:

Robbery 1st degree 

Conspiracy to commit Robbery 1st degree

Assault 1st degree

Conspiracy to commit assault 1st degree

Larceny 4th degree

Conspiracy to commit larceny 4th degree

Criminal Trover 2nd degree

Conspiracy to commit Criminal Trover 2nd degree

 

He was held on a $200,000 surety bond and will be presented in court on 4/4/24.
