News Release - School Threat Investigation

On September 19, 2024 at approximately 12:01am, the Middletown Police were contacted regarding a social media post that appeared to be threatening the Middletown High School. After investigation, it was determined that the threat was not a credible one. During our investigation, Middletown Officers determined that the threat was from a previous social media post which had been investigated by the Bridgeport Police and led to an arrest.

The Middletown Police Department will increase our presence at the school for the safety and comfort of students and teachers but there are no public safety concerns.
