MOSAICS ON MAIN

Please join us for the celebration!

Saturday, November 16, at 1:00

428 Main Street, Middletown, CT

Mosaics on Main

The Glacier Mosaic was designed by artist Kate Ten Eyck and assembled by over 50 community members, including students in the Girls in Science Summer Camp, Wesleyan students, and local volunteers who came to a public workshop at the Free Center in Middletown. On view until November 29th on Main Street, the Glacier Mosaic will eventually be installed in the Harbor Park Tunnel.

22,000 years ago what we now know as Connecticut was completely covered by a giant ice sheet. The Glacier Mosaic is an imagined representation of what the landscape may have looked like as the ice receded.
