News Release - Gunshots on Liberty Street

On January 4, 2025 at approximately 11:34pm, the Middletown Police Department received an anonymous call of gunshots in the area of Pearl Street and Liberty Street. On arrival, Officers located shell casings on the side of 98 Liberty Street. Area residents reported hearing gunshots followed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed. They were unable to provide a clear vehicle description.

There are no reported injuries or property damage from the gunshots.

The case is being investigated by the Middletown Police Department’s Major Investigations Unit (MIU). Anyone with information on this shooting incident is encouraged to contact MIU Detectives at 860-638-4140.
