On February 11, 2025 at approximately 9:59am Middletown Officers responded to Washington Street at the intersection of Middletown Plaza (Staples) for the report of an overturned oil truck.

On arrival officers found a 2005 Kenworth oil truck overturned in the roadway which was leaking large amounts of home heating oil. In addition, two other vehicles, a 2022 Nissan Rogue and a 2023 Ram 3500 truck with an attached trailer, had been struck.
