News Release - MVA on East St at Bystreck Drive

On July 6, 2025 at approximately 8:33pm, the Middletown Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of East Street and Bystreck Drive for the report of a Nissan Altima versus dirt bike. On arrival, Officers determined that the operator of the motorcycle had suffered serious physical injuries from the collision with the Nissan. He is being transported to Hartford Hospital via Lifestar. The operator of the Nissan was not injured.  

East Street is currently closed between Glenwood Terrace and Miner Street.

This case is currently under investigation and the identity of the operators is not being released at this time. Anyone with information on the collision is encouraged to contact Ofc E. Sanford of the Middletown Police Department Traffic Division at 860-638-4061.
