News Release - MV vs. Pedestrian Collision

On September 29, 2025 at approximately 6:34am, Middletown Officers were called to the area of 139 Main Street Extension for the report of a motor vehicle vs pedestrian collision.

On arrival, Officers determined that 66-year-old Paul Fachini had been struck by a motor vehicle while crossing Main Street Extension. Fachini was rushed to Hartford Hospital for a life threatening head injury and remains in critical condition.  

The operator of the vehicle stopped after the collision and has been cooperating with the police. His/her name is not being released at this time.

This collision is being investigated by the Middletown Police Traffic Division. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Ofc J. Zadjura at 860-638-4063.
