Nancy Conaway-Raczka is the Risk Manager for the City of Middletown and has served in that capacity since 2014. As Risk Manager she is responsible for the City’s health benefits, workers’ compensation and liability insurance programs. She is a graduate of Indiana State University and Seattle University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut. Nancy is member of the Connecticut Public Risk Managers Association and the CIRMA Risk Management Advisory Committee. She is a former member of the Middletown City Council and served as Deputy Mayor for two years. As a City Councilwoman she served as Chairman of the Arts & Culture Commission and the Ordinance Study Committee and was a member of the Finance Committee. She also served as Chairman of the Ron McCutcheon Park Building Committee. Prior to being elected to the Middletown Common Council she was an active member of the League of Women Voters and was President of the Middletown Chapter of the National Organization for Women and Chairman of the Wesleyan Hills Home Owners Association. She has also served as a member of the Connecticut State Central Democratic Committee.
