[ARCHIVED] Free EWaste and Packaging Peanut Collection

The City of Middletown Public Works Department in cooperation with Take 2, Inc. and Wesleyan University’s Environmental Services Department will be hosting a free electronics recycling day on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 170 Long Lane in Middletown. The collection is free and open to the public.

Acceptable items include televisions, computers printers, monitors and scanners, as well as cell phones, copiers, fax machines, iPods, PDAs modems, stereo and radio equipment, typewriters, video game machines, speakers, digital cameras, tablets and e-books.

Please do not bring smoke detectors, hazardous materials (lighter fluids, paints, waste oil), appliances, or car batteries.

Planet Peanut will also be on site to accept packaging peanuts for reuse and recycling. Please package the peanuts in kitchen-sized trash bags for optimal storage and transportation.
