Flow Tests
General Information
The flow test fee is $250. Checks must be made payable to Middletown Water & Sewer Department. The note on the check shall include “Flow Test” and the address of the test location. Submit a completed flow test application to Daniel.Pitsurenko@middletownct.gov or in person.
Payment and a completed application are needed PRIOR to scheduling any flow test. Contact Devin Darley, Field Maintenance Manager, at 860-250-3722 to schedule a flow test.
The Middletown Water Department will operate all hydrants (City and Private) and valves during the test. Article 292-11 of City Ordinances states that “Only Water and Sewer Department personnel shall…operate a hydrant,” for purposes other than fires. Hydrant tests will be performed between March 1st and November 15th weather permitting.
The requesting party is responsible for providing and using all testing equipment and recording all information needed for the flow test. Water department personnel will only operate the hydrants.
