Overview
Middletown's Economic Development Committee's (EDC) purpose is to serve as the development agency in implementing projects and project plans as promulgated pursuant to Chapters 132 and 5881 of the Connecticut General Statutes. For these purposes, the Committee is authorized to receive and dispense public funds, to acquire and dispose of property, to retain expertise and to enjoy such other powers as may be required to fully execute its responsibilities in stimulating and supporting economic development objectives and programs.
