Program Description

Funding

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program that provides funds annually to all entitlement jurisdictions. CDBG funds are used for community development and affordable housing activities. Each year, the City solicits applications from non-profit organizations serving low and moderate-income residents through programming that addresses priorities and goals established by the Citizens' Advisory Committee in the 5-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029.

The Middletown Department of Economic and Community Development is not only interested creating a vibrant economy in Middletown, but also is activity working at creating a vibrant community for all walks of life in Middletown. The City is focusing on the following areas to make Middletown a better community.
