The Public Works Departments consists of the following Divisions: Administration, Building, Energy & Sustainability, Engineering, Parks, Recycling, Sanitation, and Streets and Highways.
Public Works Administration:
Located in the Municipal Building at 245 Dekoven Drive, Room 210, Middletown CT. The office is open Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached by phone at 860-638-4850.
Highway Garage:
Located at 485 Washington Street. During the winter months, sand is available for residents to use. Residents must bring their own bucket and shovel.
Location: 185 Johnson Street
Weekday opening hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM.
Saturday opening hours: 7:00 AM - 11:45 AM; April - June: open every Saturday; December - March & July - August: 1st & 3rd Sat. of the month ONLY.

Brush collection upon request will be offered throughout the winter. Pickups will be delayed if there is inclement weather. Your patience is appreciated.
Bulk waste curbside collection has been suspended for the winter season. Requests for collection will resume in the spring.
