Registration:

In accordance with CGS Section 22a-220, Middletown Ordinance 253-2-253-17, and the rules and regulations of the Department of Public Works, all waste collectors must register annually with the City of Middletown and abide by all local, state and federal laws and regulations. This pertains to any business that collects any type of waste in the City, including, but not limited to: trash, recyclables, shredded paper, hazardous waste, bulky debris and organic material. This allows for open communication between the City and waste collectors, and also helps residents and businesses easily locate the waste collectors that operate in the City.

The City maintains a list of Registered Collectors(PDF)  and gives this to residents to find a service provider.
