CONTRACTORS - WE WILL NOT REVIEW YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL WE RECIEVE A COPY OF YOUR CONTRACTORS LICENSE ALONG WITH A CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE W/ WORKERS COMP & THE CHECK FOR YOUR PERMIT FEE.

HOMEOWNERS - IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR THE PERMIT AND DOING THE WORK YOURSELF YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT A  NOTARIZED 7B FORM (SEE BELOW) ALONG WITH YOUR CHECK FOR YOUR PERMIT FEE.  IF YOU HIRED A CONTRACTOR BUT ARE APPLYING FOR THE PERMIT FOR THEM, A 7A FORM (SEE BELOW) IS REQUIRED ALONG WITH THE CHECK FOR YOUR PERMIT FEE.

**IF YOUR PROPOSED WORK REQUIRES PLANS YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE  DRAWINGS TO US ALONG WITH OTHER REQUIRED PAPERWORK AND YOUR PAYMENT BEFORE WE REVIEW ANY INFORMATION**

INSPECTIONS!

For general inspections please call the Building Department (860-638-4870) to schedule directly with office staff. Emailed requests for inspections will not be scheduled.  If you receive voicemail, please leave your name, phone number, address where the inspection is needed, and a brief description of type of inspection being requested. We schedule 7-10 days in advance.  During the summer months we are sometimes 2+ weeks out on scheduling so please take that into consideration when planning projects. Permits need to be fully paid and issued in order to schedule inspections (this includes mechanical permitting required in relation to a building permit project).

**If a project fails inspection 2 times for the same portion of the job a $75.00 fee will be required to be paid BEFORE a 3^rd reinspection can be scheduled.**
